In this session we were taught how to rig. This was very fun and helpful, as I want to try the role of a character animator in my Ivors project, so rigging will be essential. I’m not fully satisfied with my work from this session tough, the movement could be adjusted a bit better to show weight more realistically.

Toon Boom

Work made in the Toon Boom Harmony workshop. Learning a new software is always exciting to me and one of the goals I have this school year is to learn how to time my animations, so this exercise was killing two birds with one stone.

AFX: Channel Collage

At first, I failed to find the video tutorials and just made a random collage and tried to apply channel effects after, so it doesn’t look like I would want it to.

The next day, I went to the onsite lecture with Ben Hirt. That cleared the task up for me and I made another collage the way it was supposed to be made. I’m happy with the outcome, it looks a lot more aesthetically pleasing than my first try.
